The Best Freebie You Should Get

I was very inspired by a post I had read at both the Keeping the Kingdom First and Life As a Mom blogs.

I don't mean to copy their idea, but because I think sharing this is such a fabulous idea, I'd like to post a similar entry here on my blog.

This is a Freebie that you can request anytime, anywhere and you won't have to provide your name or any other information, because it is already known.

It is open to everyone, everywhere. There is nothing anyone has ever done that would disqualify them from being entitled to request this free gift.

This free gift will not cost you anything, but in turn will give you everything!

This free gift is "salvation". What is salvation? It is eternal life, forgiveness of our sins, available only from God, our Heavenly Father.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

I received this gift of salvation in October, 1995, after asking for it.

If you would like to receive this free gift, please, read on...

God's Plan of Salvation

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)

Good works cannot save you

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:
  1. Admit you are a sinner.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)

"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:10)

  2. Be willing to turn from sin (repent).

Jesus said: "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:5)

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" (Acts 17:30)

  3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)

  4. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

To receive Christ as your Saviour, BELIEVINGLY pray, "Dear God, I am sorry for my sin and admit that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I do today receive Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour from sin and its penalty. I believe Jesus died for me and was buried and rose again and trust today in His sacrifice and shed blood for the forgiveness of my sins. Please give to me the free gift of eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen."

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Yes, I did receive this gift for free, but Jesus Christ paid the price---for me, for you, for everyone! I am still a sinner (I will always be) but I am no longer separated by sin from my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Is my life perfect now? Oh goodness no, it will never be, but Jesus is with me throughout everything. He never promised me (or anyone) an easy life, but He did promise to walk with us and be with us, every step of the way.

I sincerely hope that you too will realize how this free gift is the BEST free gift you should get now, TODAY. Please don't put accepting this free gift off until tomorrow, next week, or just "another time", for no one knows what tomorrow will bring.

If you have any questions or want to know more about receiving this free gift, I will do my best to help, but as another resource, I want to share my church's website with you. You could also do more research on their website or listen to free audio sermons online, or even ask my pastor questions. Faith Bible Baptist Church.

I've enjoyed a fun Easter/Resurrection day with my family today, and I hope your day was just as nice.
